Vietnam has seen a significant increase in rice exports, with a 4.6% increase in volume and an 18.2% increase in value compared to the same period in 2019. The largest market for Vietnamese rice is the Philippines, accounting for 39.9% of the market share. Other significant increases in rice export value were seen in Senegal, Indonesia, and China, while Hong Kong experienced the largest drop. The average export price of rice increased by over 13% compared to the same period in 2019. The types of rice exported included white rice, jasmine rice and fragrant rice, sticky rice, and japonica rice and Japanese rice, with the Philippines being the largest market for most of these types.
