A strategic roadmap has been introduced in Jilin province, northeastern China, to boost the ginseng industry. The goal is to increase the industry's production value to 80 billion yuan by 2025 and 100 billion yuan by 2030. The roadmap focuses on key areas such as cultivation, product and brand development, and fundraising. Jilin, China's leading ginseng production area, contributes approximately 60% to the country's total ginseng production. The plan aims to enhance scientific and technological innovation in the industry, and during the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025), the state intends to make significant advancements in critical technologies to make the ginseng industry more competitive.
