Argentina's corn and soybean production is projected to experience a significant decrease in the 2022/23 marketing year, with corn production expected to drop to 35 million tons from 6.1 million hectares, down from 51.1 million tons the previous season. Soybean production, on the other hand, is expected to decrease to 27 million tons from 13.3 million hectares, down from 42.2 million tons the previous season. Despite the decrease in production, corn consumption is expected to rise to 15.3 million tons, while exports are predicted to fall to 24 million tons. Soybean consumption is expected to rise to 35.4 million tons, but exports are predicted to fall to 2.8 million tons. Ending stocks for both corn and soybeans are expected to increase, with corn ending stocks projected at 2.1 million tons and soybean ending stocks projected at 1.9 million tons.
