The Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality in Turkey is continuing its 'Medical and Aromatic Plant Cultivation Project' (TABIP), which aims to boost the income of farmers and encourage the cultivation of high-value added plants. The project has seen the harvest of 2.6 million aromatic plants, including rosemary, and is also growing medicinal mint on 40 decares at Kocaeli University. The project is part of the municipality's rural development initiatives and is supported by the Department of Headman's Office and the Agricultural Services Branch.
