Russia's Rosselkhoznadzor discovered beef fat in cheeses from Belarus

Rosselkhoznadzor asked the Belarusian veterinary service to suspend supplies to Russia of products from several enterprises that falsify cheeses with beef fat. This is stated in the message of the Russian department. "Due to the fact that the use of animal fats in the production of cheese is unacceptable, the Rosselkhoznadzor appealed to the Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision of Belarus with a request to suspend the certification of products of these enterprises to Russian recipients from April 12, 2023 and conduct an exhaustive investigation to establish the causes of the incident," — noted in the message. As explained in the department, the Rosselkhoznadzor, during laboratory monitoring of products entering Russia, revealed beef fats in Belarusian-made cheeses.
