In Russia, the number of cattle on farms decreased by 1.7% compared to the previous year, with 17.4 million heads in November 2023. The number of sheep and goats also decreased by 1.7%, with 20.8 million heads in the country at the end of November. However, there was an increase in the number of pigs, with a 1.5% increase in farms of all categories and a 2.4% increase in agricultural organizations compared to the previous year. Additionally, livestock and poultry production saw a 1.9% increase, milk production increased by 2.5%, and egg production increased by 1.3%.
