Between October 29 and November 5, fruit and vegetable prices in Russia rose by 4%, with cucumbers seeing the highest increase at 8.6%. Other notable price hikes included onions (6.3%), potatoes (6.1%), tomatoes (5.1%), beets (4.3%), and cabbage (4%), while carrots reversed a previous decline with a 2.3% increase. Bananas and apples also saw price rises of 1.9% and 0.8%, respectively. Since the beginning of the year, potatoes have experienced the largest price surge, increasing 1.6 times, with onions, beets, cabbage, apples, carrots, and bananas also seeing significant increases. However, cucumbers and tomatoes have become cheaper over the year by 29.8% and 16.1%, respectively. Overall, fruit and vegetable prices in Russia have increased by 24.19% in 2023.
