Oilseed harvest in Russia in 2022 will amount to 29.2 million tons

A record 29.2 million tons of oilseeds will be harvested by domestic agricultural producers in 2022. Such a forecast was published by specialists of the Rusagrotrans analytical center, writes the Pole.rf magazine. At the same time, experts adjusted the estimate of the gross harvest of sunflower downwards by 250 thousand tons, to 16.46 million tons. “This is due to the fact that in the Volga region and the Center part of the areas will not be able to be removed until the end of the year due to past heavy rainfall and expected warming in the coming weeks,” experts explain. The forecast for soybean production in the Russian Federation has been raised from 5.9 million tons to 6.04 million tons due to the high yield potential in the Center and the Far East.
