Russia's agricultural watchdog, Rosselkhoznadzor, has imposed a ban on poultry and related products imports from the Ustetsky region of the Czech Republic, following a bird flu outbreak in Europe. The ban, effective from January 13, also includes imports from Slovenia, two UK provinces, Portugal, the Netherlands, and parts of the Czech Republic. Restrictions are also in place for eggs and chickens from eight German farms. The ban aims to curb the spread of bird flu, which has been reported in over 40 countries.
