This was stated in an interview with RIA "Novosti" by German Zverev, the president of the All-Russian Association of Fish Farming Enterprises, Entrepreneurs, and Exporters (VARPE). According to him, the consumption of fish and fish products in Russia is higher than in many countries around the world, but it is still below the norms recommended by the Ministry of Health. According to the methodology of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Russia is among the top twenty countries in terms of fish consumption.
