Russia has seen a 56% increase in agricultural exports to Japan, reaching $133 million. The two countries are looking to diversify trade and expand cooperation in areas such as grain crops, meat and dairy products, juices, water, and soft drinks exports. Japan is particularly interested in regular supplies of grain crops from Russia, as shown by a trial shipment of Russian wheat. Both countries are also discussing trade in fish products and opening markets for new agricultural products like Russian poultry and beef.
