Russia has taken the first place in the world for the export of sunflower oil.

The drivers of growth remain high demand from processors and the expansion of the raw material base. The volume of oilseed production in 2025 exceeded 34 million tons. In addition to traditional sunflower and soy, rapeseed and other crops have taken significant positions. The processing of oilseeds has also reached a new level: over the past year, more than 24 million tons of vegetable oils and oil cakes were produced. 70% of the produced vegetable oils and 26% of the oil cakes go to foreign markets, noted Ilyushin. Compared to 2019, the physical volume of exports increased 1.5 times (oils - by 53%, oil cakes - by 52%). In 2025, 7 million tons of vegetable oils and 3.8 million tons of oil cakes were supplied.
