Russia holds the world leadership in the production and export of oil flax

The largest buyer of oilseed flax is China - last year it accounted for more than half of the volume of deliveries from Russia, increasing purchases by 49% in money terms. Türkiye increased purchases by 44%. Also among the leading importers are the traditional buyers of Russian flax - Belgium, Latvia and Poland. China is also the leader among the buyers of Russian linseed oil - it accounts for about 42% of all deliveries. Last year, exports to China grew by 3.7% in physical terms and by 15% in monetary terms. Türkiye significantly increased imports - plus 64% and plus 91%, respectively. In addition to China and Turkey, the top 5 importers of Russian linseed oil included Lithuania, Belgium and Norway. In total, during the past year, linseed oil from Russia was supplied to 42, and oilseed flax - to 40 countries.
