Russia increased food salt supplies to foreign markets by 60%

Over the nine months of this year, the Russian Federation exported salt for almost 9 million dollars.

Over the nine months of this year, Russia exported approximately 37 thousand tons of table salt to foreign markets for almost 9 million dollars. In value terms, the volume of supplies increased by 60%, reports the federal center "Agroexport". Export revenue for salt during the reporting period has already exceeded the maximum set for the entire calendar year 2024 (about 4.5 million dollars).

In physical terms, compared to the same period last year, exports increased by 22%.

The top five importers of Russian salt include Kazakhstan (30% share), China (27%), Belarus (11%), Mongolia (6%), and Georgia (5%).
