Russia is Increasing Rapeseed Meal Exports through Supplies to China and Turkey

According to updated data from the Agricultural Market Information Agency (APK-Inform), the export of Russian rapeseed meal in August-May 2024/25 MY increased by 32% compared to the same period of the previous season and amounted to about 567,000 tons. After losing most of the European markets due to the European Union's import duty on Russian meals, shipments of this product are recovering through increased supplies to China and Turkey. According to the International Trade Center, the monthly import of Russian rapeseed meal to China rose to 30-50,000 tons since January this year, compared to 10-20,000 tons earlier. In total, during August-May in the current season, China imported 240,000 tons of Russian rapeseed meal versus 112,000 tons in the same period of the previous season.
