This season, Russia is restoring barley shipments to Jordan and may expand its grain exports with corn shipments. According to the Federal Center for Food Market Safety and Quality (FCS QAF), since the beginning of the season (July 1, 2025) until September 9, approximately 50,000 tons of barley have been exported to Jordan. For the entire 2024/25 agricultural season (which ended on June 30, 2025), the volume of shipments amounted to 193,000 tons, which was 20% less than in the 2023/24 agricultural season (280,000 tons, or a third of all Jordanian imports). According to Ruslan Khasanov, the director of the FCS QAF, as reported by the press service of the FCS QAF, Russia has been one of the leading grain suppliers to Jordan in recent years.
