Russia has seen a significant increase in agricultural exports to Oman, with the potential to exceed $500 million, despite the country's high food self-sufficiency. In the first seven months of 2020, Russia exported foodstuffs worth $75 million, a threefold increase from the previous year. The main exports include wheat, corn, sunflower oil, poultry meat, tobacco, drinks, buckwheat, and alcohol. Oman imports agricultural products worth $3.6-3.8 billion annually, and the Russian market offers potential access to other Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
