From May 1 to 20, Russia's grain exports fell by 18% compared to the same period last year, totaling 3.394 million tons. Wheat shipments decreased by nearly 20%, corn by 22.5%, while barley remained stable. Egypt was the main buyer of Russian wheat, though shipments to Egypt and Turkey dropped, while exports to Bangladesh, Iran, Djibouti, Syria, Kenya, and the UAE increased. Saudi Arabia and Iran were the main buyers of barley, with significant increases in shipments, and Iran also led in corn purchases. The number of companies shipping wheat decreased, and grain prices rose due to reduced harvest forecasts caused by frosts.
