Russia's Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and Vice Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko discussed the results of the Ministry of Agriculture's work and future strategies at a recent meeting. The ministry's focus on strengthening other export directions besides grains, as advocated by Dmitry Patrushev, despite achieving the second largest grain harvest in Russian history and setting record harvests for various crops in 2020. The government supports the development of the agro-industrial complex through state investments, digitalization, and financial incentives, aiming to become one of the top 10 global food suppliers by 2030. The State Program for the utilization of agricultural land and the reclamation complex of Russia until 2030 is also set to boost agricultural development. Despite the COVID-19 restrictions, efforts are being made to stabilize the domestic market and enhance international competitiveness.
