Starting August 1, 2024, a new duty of 25% or a minimum of 80 euros per ton will be introduced, escalating to 50% or a minimum of 160 euros per ton from August 1, 2025. The Ministry of Economic Development anticipates this will enhance pine nut processing production domestically, promote the export of high-value goods, and stimulate economic growth in the Siberian and Far Eastern regions. The phased duty increase will also enable businesses to gear up for processing the additional volume of unshelled nuts.
