Russia will introduce an export duty on pine nuts from August 2024

Moscow. February 9th. INTERFAX.RU - Russian authorities plan to introduce a duty on the export of unshelled pine nuts from August 1, 2024. The Ministry of Economic Development reports that the customs subcommittee supported the initiative of representatives of the Federation Council to establish a system of customs and tariff regulation of the export of pine nuts. A decision was made on the advisability of introducing an export duty of 25% from August 1, 2024, but not less than 80 euros per ton. “In a year, from August 1, 2025, it is planned to introduce a rate on these products of 50%, but not less than 160 euros per 1 ton,” the message says.
