Russia will significantly increase the export of animal products in 2023

This year, Russia has significantly increased its supplies of livestock products abroad, especially meat. This was reported by Rosselkhoznadzor with reference to data from the department’s Argus system. Products were imported to several dozen countries. The most positive dynamics were shown by the export of lamb, horse meat, pork and food by-products. The first type of meat was imported by seven countries. Its supplies increased more than all other meat products - 11 times to 10,300 tons. In total, seven countries purchased it. Pork exports increased by six percent to 154,400 tons, with meat shipped to 14 countries. 70,600 tons of finished meat products were imported to another 27 countries. Also, supplies of horse meat abroad increased by 2.2 times to two thousand tons.
