According to the Russian Agricultural Products Export Development Center, in the first nine months of this year, Russia exported approximately 2,700 tons of wafer biscuits to China, with a total export value of about $7 million, accounting for about 7% of the total Russian wafer biscuit exports during the same period.
Other major export destinations include Kazakhstan (26% of total Russian wafer biscuit exports), Belarus (14%), Kyrgyzstan (9%), and Uzbekistan (8%).
It is reported that from January to September 2024, Russia exported over 40,000 tons of wafer biscuits abroad, with a total value of about $100 million, an increase of 10% compared to the same period last year. In 2024, Russian wafer biscuit exports reached a new record of $136 million.
On March 18, the Russian Agricultural Products Export Center informed the satellite news agency that according to preliminary statistics, in 2024, Russia exported over 8.3 million tons of agricultural products to China, with a total export value of about $7.4 billion. Among the agricultural products exported from Russia to China, the largest export volume was rapeseed oil (13%), followed by barley (10%), sunflower oil and peas (each 8%), and soybeans (7%). China has become the main importer of Russian agricultural products in 2024, maintaining this position for two consecutive years.
On November 6, Ilya Ilyushin, the director of the Russian Agricultural Products Export Development Center, stated that China is the main importer of a series of Russian agricultural products. Ilyushin pointed out that China is the main importer of Russian grains and legumes, oil products, dairy products, meat, confectionery, food and processed products, fish, and seafood.
