China's purchases of Russian oats will double in 2024

China's import of Russian oats has doubled from $17 million to $35 million within a year, making Russia the second largest exporter of oats to China, following Australia. The total import volume reached over 158,000 tons in the first eight months of 2024. Oats are essential for the production of various cereal foods, flour, oatmeal, and oat coffee. Oat flour is a common ingredient in baking and patisserie.
