Russian Center for Agribusiness Exports: Russia to become the main supplier of turkey meat to China by 2025

The Russian Agricultural Products Export Development Center stated that, according to data from the General Administration of Customs of China, China imported 14,800 tons of turkey meat in 2025, valued at $40.5 million, of which 13,200 tons were imported from Russia, amounting to $35.3 million, accounting for approximately 90% of China's total turkey meat imports. The Russian Agricultural Products Export Development Center added that although China's overall purchase of turkey meat decreased in 2025, Russia remained a key supplier. For comparison, in 2024, China imported 16,000 tons of turkey meat, valued at $50 million. In 2025, the second-largest supplier of turkey meat to China was Chile, with imports totaling 1,500 tons, valued at $5.2 million.
