The Russian confectionery market saw a slight growth of 1% in 2022, reaching 3.72 million tons, as reported by Sergey Nosenko, the President of the Association of Confectionery Industry Enterprises (ASKOND). The markets in Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, and Armenia also experienced growth, with Kazakhstan's market reaching 330 thousand tons, Belarus's 210 thousand tons, Kyrgyzstan's 71.2 thousand tons, and Armenia's 46.7 thousand tons. Collectively, the confectionery market of the EAEU countries grew by nearly 1% to 4.39 million tons. The average per capita consumption of confectionery products in the EAEU countries increased slightly to 23.8 kg in 2022.
