Reports indicate that the Primorsky Krai region harvested nearly 3,000 tons of honey this harvest season. Data from the General Administration of Customs of China shows that from January to August this year, Russia's honey exports to China increased to 1.2 million U.S. dollars, a growth of 1.6 times. During the same period, the export volume increased from 317 tons to 381.2 tons. Russia is the third-largest supplier of honey to China's market. The top two countries exporting honey to China this year are New Zealand (826.1 tons) and Australia (528 tons), with Thailand (201.9 tons) and Kyrgyzstan (82.7 tons) also entering the top five. On March 18, the Russian Center for the Development of Agricultural Product Exports informed the satellite news agency that according to preliminary statistics, in 2024, Russia's agricultural product exports to China exceeded 8.3 million tons, with a total export value of approximately 7.4 billion U.S. dollars. Among the agricultural products exported from Russia to China, the largest export by volume is rapeseed oil (13%), followed by barley (10%), then sunflower oil and peas (each 8%), and soybeans (7%). China has become the main importer of Russian agricultural products in 2024, maintaining this position for two consecutive years.
