Annual demand for these fruits is around 1 million tons. On average, mandarins account for about 10% of the "fruit plate" of a Russian person per year. However, during the winter period, especially in the weeks leading up to the New Year, their share increases significantly: this period accounts for about a third of the total annual consumption volume.
