A study by Infoline reveals a 47% surge in online grocery spending in Russia in 2023, reaching 917.5 billion rubles, up from 625 billion rubles in 2022. The share of online orders in total retail sales of food and beverages increased to 4.7% in Q4 2023. Fresh-food delivery volume was estimated at 781 billion rubles in 2023, marking a 41% increase from the previous year. The study also highlighted a significant rise in turnover in the segment of delivery for future use, scheduled delivery and pickup, which made up 40% of all product orders by year-end.
