Brazilian soybean production in the 2025/26 season is expected to total 178.76 million tons, according to a survey by consultancy Safras & Mercado, representing an increase of 4% compared to the 2024/25 crop, which totaled 171.84 million tons. However, the number was below the previous estimate, released on September 5, which pointed to 180.92 million tons. The survey points to a 1.4% growth in the planted area, estimated at 48.31 million hectares, up from 47.64 million hectares in the previous crop. Average productivity is expected to rise from 3,625 kg/ha to 3,719 kg/ha. Most of the adjustment occurred in the North-Central region of the country (Matopiba) due to irregular rainfall, planting delays, and lower average productive potential.
