Sales of the Russian duck meat tripled in three years

The volume of the Russian duck meat market has more than tripled in three years, according to the analytical company BusinesStat. If in 2020, 13.7 thousand tons of this type of meat were sold in the country, then in 2021 already 24.5 thousand tons, and in 2022 - 35.5 thousand tons. BusinesStat analysts explain such a noticeable increase of the market by the fact that the chicken meat segment is close to saturation, and consumers are increasingly interested in non-traditional types of poultry meat. In addition, in 2019, duck meat sales in Russia sank by more than 40% and amounted to 11.5 thousand tons, so the current growth is partially recovery. During the period under review, duck meat production began in Russia at the Ulybino (Novosibirsk Region) and Centralnaya (Vladimir Region) poultry farms, BusinesStat notes.
