Santa Catarina state in Brazil has seen a significant growth in its chicken and pork exports, generating over US$ 2 billion in revenue between January and August of this year, marking a 3.9% increase in volume and a 10.3% increase in revenue compared to the same period last year. Chicken meat exports totaled 661.5 thousand tons, with revenue reaching US$ 1.1 billion, accounting for 24% of Brazil's total chicken meat exports. The state's main export markets are Japan, China, and Saudi Arabia. Pork exports exceeded 380,000 tons and generated revenue of US$ 945.8 million, marking a 24.7% increase, with China, Chile, and Hong Kong being the key destinations.
