Rates of financial assistance for farmers impacted by the economic crisis in Bulgaria

By order of the Minister of Agriculture, Yavor Gechev, the amount of the rates for the extraordinary financial assistance for adaptation of the farmers affected by the economic crisis after the conflict between Russia and Ukraine has been determined. The aid for Bulgaria of 10.6 million euros, determined by the European Commission, was supplemented by the national budget to 62 million leva. According to initial calculations in the instructions for the aid, it was foreseen in the sectors Wine grapes, sows and two types of greenhouses with 1 percent more per unit. If there is a balance of the budget, it will be redistributed by the State Fund "Agriculture" proportionally among the approved applicants within the budgets by sectors. The aid will be paid for animal units of the relevant category of animals, as well as for a hectare of wine grapes and greenhouse vegetables.
