On November 4 in Lam Son commune, Thanh Hoa province, the National Agricultural Promotion Center, in collaboration with the Institute of Food Crops - Food Plants (Vietnam Agricultural Science Institute) and the Thanh Hoa Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, organized a seminar on solutions to enhance the effectiveness of the sustainable cassava value chain. According to Mr. Hoang Van Hong, Deputy Director of the National Agricultural Promotion Center: Cassava is one of the crops included in the list of key national crops, playing an extremely important role in the development of the agricultural and rural economy, contributing to improving people's lives. Cassava production in Vietnam has maintained a stable area of over 500,000 hectares with an annual yield of 10 to 10.7 million tons of fresh tubers. Cassava starch products and sliced cassava are becoming one of the 7 key export items of the country, bringing in an export turnover of 1.4 to 1.5 billion USD per year, ...
