Sejong City Offers Up to 180 Million Won in Support for Young Smart Farm Entrepreneurs

Sejong Special Self-Governing City (Mayor Choi Min-ho) is launching a new project to support young farmers by subsidizing 70% of smart farm installation costs. The city announced on the 26th that it will provide subsidies up to 180 million won through the '2024 Young Farmers Smart Farm Startup Support Project'. This project was first implemented this year to help young people settle in Sejong City, who are struggling with high land prices. Support targets are young farmers and prospective farmers under 45 years old who have an address in Sejong City or hope to settle there. For those not yet residing in Sejong City, they must prove completion of specialized smart farm or horticulture education or management practice history, and must secure a project site within two months of being selected as a project participant.
