Russia: Self-sufficiency in vegetables in Sakhalin Oblast will increase by 20% in 2.5 years

Sakhalin Oblast will increase its self-sufficiency in vegetables by about 20% over the next two and a half years. This was announced in an interview with TASS by Alexey Belik, Chairman of the Government of the island region, on the sidelines of the IX Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), which is being held in Vladivostok from September 3 to 6. "You know, starting in 2017-2018, we have been actively engaged in issues of food security in the region. And it is important that we have defined for ourselves the vector of development in the main areas.
