(Agraria.pe) The National Service of Agrarian Health (Senasa) supervised the first shipment of 23 tons of primary Peruvian turkey meat to Panama, marking a milestone for the country's poultry export. The supervision took place at a processing plant located in the Chincha Baja district, Chincha province, Ica region, where the technical team of Senasa carried out the sanitary inspection, certification, sealing of the container, and issuance of the export health certificate, in strict compliance with the requirements demanded by the Panamanian market. This first shipment represents a recognition of Peru's animal health system, which guarantees the safety and quality of poultry products destined for international markets, and reflects the coordinated work between the State and the private sector to strengthen the competitiveness of the sector.
