Serbian raspberry producers fear a collapse in purchase prices

More than three months are left before the raspberry harvest in Serbia, meanwhile, producers fear that due to the difficult situation on the market for this berry, there will be a sharp decrease in purchase prices. Therefore, instead of a record 500-600 dinars per kilogram (343-411 rubles), the cost of raspberries may fall by half. Some small buyers and cold stores have already posted ads on social networks that they will buy berries this season at a lower price. In this regard, some Serbian berry growers believe that they will have to reduce the area under raspberries, as agricultural machinery and fertilizers have increased in price. And the purchase price of at least 300 dinars (205 rubles) per kilogram of berries can ensure the profitability of raspberry production.
