Serfor and the World Bank strengthen cooperation to consolidate a new model of commercial forest management.

The National Forest and Wildlife Service (Serfor) and the World Bank conducted a high-level technical mission in Puerto Maldonado, Madre de Dios region, with the aim of identifying new opportunities for technical and financial cooperation aimed at consolidating a new model of forest management in Peru. The event brought together the top management of Serfor, the World Bank, and entrepreneurs who are betting on the forestry sector; verifying on the ground the potential of a sector that is advancing towards a new forestry era, based on legality and the responsible use of forests. During the mission, Serfor presented the strategic lines that are redefining forest management in Peru: Promotion of the management of our forests and commercial forest plantations as one of the engines of growth of the Peruvian economy.
