The National Forest and Wildlife Service (Serfor), in coordination with regional governments, has been promoting the conservation of natural resources and the sustainable development of family agriculture through the Contract for Cession in Use for Agroforestry Systems (CCUSAF). This mechanism, granted voluntarily and free of charge, allows for the formalization of agricultural, livestock, and/or forestry activities carried out on public domain lands in nine regions of the Amazon. With the support of allied entities such as Folur, Profonanpe, Osinfor, and the Peruvian Society of Environmental Law (SPDA), Serfor promotes the implementation of agroforestry systems, which contribute to reducing deforestation, improving soil quality, and strengthening the economy of family producers.
