China has managed to achieve a bumper harvest in 2020 despite the challenges posed by epidemics, pests, typhoons, and heavy rains, marking the 17th consecutive year of such production. This is due to strict prevention and control measures for pests and diseases, timely disaster management, and stable arable land. The country has also adopted advanced technological solutions in agriculture, including mechanized harvesting and the use of drones for precise spraying. Furthermore, China has surpassed the international food security standard of 400 kilograms per capita in food consumption. In the future, the country plans to develop 100 million mu of high-standard farmland in 2021 to increase grain production capacity and promote modern sustainable agriculture.
