Iran ranks third in pomegranate production in the world

Stating that Pomegranate is the source of Yalda Shab, he said: Pomegranate production is more than domestic demand and consumption, and we also have the capacity to increase exports. The director general of tropical and semi-tropical fruits office added: the country's eight-month pomegranate export is 12,600 tons with a value of about six million dollars. Compared to the same period last year, this amount of exports has grown by 70% in terms of weight and more than 120% in terms of value. According to him, Iran has the first rank of pomegranate production per capita and the third rank of production in the world.
