Shinan County Fisheries Cooperative Releases Cuttlefish and Common Octopus Seedlings

Shinan County Fisheries Cooperative (President Kim Gil-dong) released 20,000 young squid and 100,000 young octopus into the Shinan sea area on the 25th to support marine resources and fishermen's income. This release was carried out through mutual cooperation between Shinan County Fisheries Cooperative, Jeollanam-do Marine and Fisheries Science Institute, Shinan County, fishing village associations, local residents, and Shinan Marine Science High School students to create a "sea of hope" at the Song-gong sea area in Anseong-eup, Shinan County. Shinan County Fisheries Cooperative and the Western Branch Resource Development Research Institute of Jeollanam-do Marine and Fisheries Science Institute are supporting mature squid and octopus parent fish in line with the "May 2, 2023 Business Agreement for Strengthening Marine Resources in Shinan Sea Area."
