Vietnam's shrimp exports in October reached $425.3 million, a slight decrease of 1.5% year-over-year, but a sign of recovery after a sharp drop in August and September. The US, EU, and South Korea are the main import markets, which have seen strong increases. US imports of Vietnamese shrimp in October were over $117 million, up 19% year-over-year, and are expected to continue to increase in the remaining months of the year. The EU market is facing a shortage and is expected to provide opportunities for Vietnamese suppliers. However, exports to China are declining, with a 36.5% decrease in October compared to the same period last year.
