According to the data, exports to the mainland China and Hong Kong market account for nearly 29% of the total shrimp export turnover nationwide, becoming the fastest-growing shrimp market for Vietnam this year. In the first half of August, the export turnover to this market was nearly 57 million USD, equivalent to nearly 30% of the total exports. Notably, the structure of export products to China is also changing according to consumer preferences. Shrimp, lobster, and many other types of shrimp are growing by three digits, especially in the high-end fresh and frozen product groups. Shrimp recorded a double-digit increase, while white shrimp decreased in raw form but rose in ready-to-eat products, reflecting a trend towards convenience products with added value.
