The Statistics Office North predicts that the grain harvest in Schleswig-Holstein this year will be around 15 percent lower than the previous year due to persistent drought and reduced cereal cultivation. Winter wheat is expected to account for 54 percent of the harvest, with a yield per hectare six percent below the six-year average. The harvest volume for winter barley, rye, triticale, summer cereals, and winter rapeseed is also expected to be lower than the previous year.
