Silage corn maintains good potential

The Conjunctural Report released by Emater/RS-Ascar this Wednesday (19) indicates that the productive potential of corn crops intended for silage remains high in Rio Grande do Sul. According to the document, in the Noroeste Colonial, "the crops have started forming cobs, with excellent development and a forecast of good productive yields." In the Médio Alto Uruguai, areas affected by hail are undergoing preparations for reseeding, while planting continues in a staggered manner to reduce risks associated with the La Niña phenomenon. For the 2025/2026 crop, Emater/RS-Ascar projects a total area of 366,067 hectares and a productivity of 38,338 kg/ha.
