The Kaliningrad Region has seen a 20% increase in wheat exports, totaling around 330,000 tons in the first seven months of 2021, according to the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration. The main importers are EU and African countries, with new markets in Gabon, Togo, and Haiti. The region has started shipping the new food wheat crop to local agricultural producers, with over 11,000 tons ready for export to EU countries, complying with phytosanitary and safety requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union.
