Russia: Since the beginning of the year, the export of fish products from the Khabarovsk Territory, the Jewish Autonomous, and Magadan regions to the Asia-Pacific countries has increased

Fish products from Russian regions are primarily exported to China, the Republic of Korea, and Japan. The highest amount of fish products in 2023 was registered in China (3,544 tons), followed by 1,735 tons to the Republic of Korea and 1,450 tons to Japan. Asian consumers have a strong demand for Far Eastern salmon, salmon caviar, Kamchatka crab, and Pacific herring, and these products have been confirmed as safe through veterinary and sanitary examination and laboratory tests. The export shipments have been accompanied by proper veterinary documents prepared by the territorial department of Rosselkhoznadzor.
