The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency has reported a measles outbreak in small ruminants at a livestock farm in Haskovo town, with over 180 sheep affected. A 3-kilometer safety zone and a 10-kilometer monitoring zone have been established to control the disease's spread. This is the third measles outbreak in the Haskovo region in recent weeks, with over 220 animals affected at the previous sites. Despite not posing a threat to humans, the disease causes significant economic damage and additional measures have been introduced by the authorities to prevent its spread.
